Our prime location has a competitive edge, ensuring you will reel in catch after catch with minimal competition from other anglers. Both seasoned and new anglers will enjoy the thrill of fishing with us. Plus, as you wind down during dinner time, you’ll have the chance to enjoy your freshly caught fish skillfully prepared by our Chef.

Salt and Fresh-Water Fishing

Salt-Water Fishing

Afognak Island offers exceptional opportunities for halibut and salmon fishing. Additionally, our waters teem with plentiful Lingcod, Pelagic and non-pelagic Rockfish, and a special rockfish known as Yellow-eye. While these other species may not hold the same world famous reputation as halibut, many anglers argue they provide an even more enjoyable fishing and dining experience. Lingcod, in particular, are known for their vigorous fight and delicious, mild flavor. Meanwhile, the Yellow-eye stands out with its striking bright orange color and delicate, slightly sweet taste. At the end of each day, your catch will be filleted, vacuum-sealed, labeled, and frozen, ready for you to take home if you choose.

Fresh-Water Fishing

Among its most treasured attributes are the stunning streams and estuaries nestled within the island's geography. Afognak features idyllic settings perfect for freshwater fishing, where the remote and rugged wilderness ensures these spots (and the delicious wild fish) are enjoyed by a select few. During select parts of the summer, our guests can indulge in freshwater fishing, with Sockeye, Pink, and Silver Salmon. Sockeye Salmon, also known as Reds, grace our waters from June through mid-July, followed by Pinks, affectionately called Humpbacks, from mid-July through the end of August, and finally, Coho Salmon, known as Silvers, from late July through early October.

Our Fleet

Our fleet includes two custom catamarans, each designed to enhance your fishing experience. With a maximum capacity of six guests each, these vessels offer the perfect blend of stability and spaciousness for an unparalleled fishing experience.
