Access our lodge via a scenic 25-minute floatplane ride from the town of Kodiak (or 50 minutes from Homer) to our floating dock. The special aspect of our remote location is being situated perfectly among abundant natural resources. Our wilderness abounds with diverse wildlife, from the iconic Kodiak brown bear, various sea mammals, majestic bald eagles and charming puffins. Experience an unparalleled saltwater fishing expedition with halibut, pacific rockfish, lingcod or freshwater salmon.

Between our fishing excursions, captivating wildlife, breathtaking landscapes and cozy accommodations, it’s no surprise we’ve been a coveted retreat for vacationers since 1974. Our flexible booking options enable you to craft the experience you desire with our experienced USCG licensed guides, who are wise stewards of the environment.

Experience unparalleled fishing and sightseeing aboard one of our two catamarans, each capable of accommodating up to 6 guests comfortably. With their double hull design, these boats are fast but stable and offer heated cabins and a bathroom, ensuring a comfortable experience as you explore the Gulf of Alaska.

Back at the main lodge, delicious meals are thoughtfully prepared from scratch. Experience comfort and convenience in (our main lodge) where amenities such as wifi, television and comfortable lounges await. Large windows offer captivating views of the bay and forest, ensuring you’ll never miss a moment of the stunning scenery.

With three private guest log cabins and a capacity of about 12 guests, our lodge caters to singles, couples, families, friends, and business groups alike. We have a loyal base of repeat and referred guests over the years, which speaks to the exceptional hospitality and memorable experiences we offer.

How to Get Here

Located in Seal Bay on Afognak Island, our lodge is accessible from Kodiak and Homer. Guests typically arrive via chartered floatplane from Kodiak, however, those on the Kenai Peninsula may opt for a direct floatplane from Homer. We recommend lodging in either town the night before your flight to account for potential morning flight delays.

Once we see how many guests will travel on any given date, we’ll reserve the appropriate sized aircraft for you.

Typically, your hotel will shuttle you to the Air Service at around 7:45 am, you will board the floatplane about 8:30 am and arrive at the lodge around 9:00 am.

Float planes, despite their ability to access remote areas, are significantly impacted by adverse weather conditions. In weather conditions where there is thick fog or low visibility that prevent float planes from flying, when weather is suitable for our boats, we may arrange to transport your party using one of our boats. It’s all part of the adventure!

*While arrivals/departures are possible at other times of day, arriving early ensures you and other guests maximize your time for activities at the lodge or your next destination.

*For larger groups, flying directly from Anchorage to the lodge via floatplane is feasible, albeit more costly, and subject to more weather conditions. Please contact us if you think this arrangement would be beneficial.
